Checkers is a calico cat (a silver torbie, I'm told). She is a mix of silver tabby and orange tabby. She was born around 1991 and rescued from the shelter. She is the sweetest cat I've ever had. She is very friendly and will climb on the laps of visitors. She never bites or scratches anyone   Sylvia (rear) is a very mischievious miniature Maine Coon cat that we found in our garage in 1997. She was born sometime around June 1997 and was emaciated when we found her. She is very shy and hides when visitors come. Even so, she approached us when she was starving. She is a very good hunter, like Checkers, and brings many small mammals and reptiles back to the house to show us. She is extremely playful and lively. We think she has the cat form of ADD.
