Earl Edmund de Mortimer of March was the son of Sir Roger de Mortimer Knt. and Philippe de Montagu.2 He was born on 1 February 1352 at Llangoed, Llyswen, Brecon, Wales.2 He married Philippe of Clarence, daughter of Duke Lionel of Clarence K.G. and Elizabeth de Burgh, circa May 1368 at Reading, England.1 He died on 27 December 1381 at Dominican Friary, Cork, Cork, Ireland, at age 29; of a "cold."2      He was a member of parliament on 8 January 1371.2
