Description Details
The pretty prints on batik fabrics inspired me to cut out the poinsettia flowers and display them in rough-edge applique beaded embellishments. I made the flower pot three-dimensional with stuff work. The solid red and green fabrics were very hard to find, but the busy batiks needed solid background.
Quilting
I did free-motion quilting to outline the fabric designs in the tablecloth. Free-motion quilting with metallic thread anchors the flowersand makes up the background area. Yarn-embroidered cording makes the stems. Ruching decorates the flowerpot.
