-
Dimensions: 14.5 x 14 inches
-
Pattern: Inspired from The Art of Embroidered Flowers by Gilda Baron, c. 2004
-
Materials: Habatai silk, cotton batting, fleece backing and binding
-
Construction: Hand painted and embroidered, and machine quilted on a Bernina 165 by Charlee Banks in 2003-2007.
-
Notes: The silk was painted using Susan L. Moyer’s “line building” technique
which I learned in a silk painting class taught by Karen Sistek in 2003.
“Sunrise Salmon” was a unique mixed color in Karen’s class. I used it for
the sky color and as a base for the other colors. In 2007 I quilted and
embroidered it.
