Lost Tribes
  • Dimensions: 17 x 17 inches
  • Pattern: A watercolor painting (“Lost Tribes”) by Carol Grigg
  • Fabrics: The front and back of a cotton knit t-shirt on which the pattern was printed
  • Construction: Machine pieced and quilted on a Kenmore sewing machine by Charlee Banks in 2003.
  • Notes: This was an attempt to see if t-shirts could be quilted as whole units with only batting and binding. The success of this quilt led to a bed-sized quilt (“T-Shirt Quilt”, 2004). My t-shirt quilts have polyester fleece sashing and bindings.
