- Dimensions: 24 x 33 inches
- Pattern: Whims Watercolor Kits
- Fabrics: Pre-cut 2-inch cotton fabric squares
- Construction: Machine pieced and quilted on a Kenmore sewing machine by Charlee Banks in 2002
- Notes: I accompanied my friend Beth Bentley to a quilt store (Boersma’s) and spotted a kit for this “watercolor” quilt. I named it after my husband’s garden, which is a mix of different wildflowers. I didn’t yet know about quilting but I knew I wanted to stitch a large flower (best seen from the reverse side) with metallic thread. I can’t believe I got that old Kenmore sewing machine to go along with the idea. The borders are hand quilted using the “Aunt Jenny” technique I learned from a class taught by Jean Brown of Portland, Oregon.
